What you will learn: - How to prepare the wood to go on the lathe - bowl- and spindle-turning techniques - the various ways to secure wood on the lathe - The range of turning tools and accessories - Safe use of the lathe - Turning design and planning - finishing techniques You will make four take-home projects: a shallow bowl, a rounded convex bowl, a detailed candle holder, and a lidded box. With these skills you'll be able to turn on your own and get on the journey of craftsmanship.
