  • Japanese Joinery Console:
    Build Without Screws

This course focuses on building furniture the right way: through structure, not shortcuts.

You will construct a minimalist console table using joinery principles instead of screws or metal fasteners. The emphasis is on alignment, proportion, and stability. Every step requires attention. Nothing is hidden.

The Japanese influence is not decorative. It is a discipline: simplicity, precision, and respect for the material.

This is a demanding workshop. You will leave with a piece of furniture that stands because it is well built, not because it is reinforced.

What you gain:

  • Understanding of structural joinery

  • Experience building a clean, stable furniture piece

  • A shift from “assembling” to actually building
