  • Turn a Wooden Stool (Oct-Nov)

You will start all the way from "raw" wood, producing your own woodturning stock. Next, you will measure and mark the location of the mortises in the seat, drill the mortises, and prepare the seat to be turned. You'll turn the seat and the three legs, working to precise dimensions for the tenons which will secure the legs to the seat. Finally, you will sand, assemble, and finish your project before taking it home! By the end of the course, you will have... - Created a turning project from scratch - Used essential shop equipment (machines, hand and power tools) with an emphasis on woodturning - Learned and understood the difference between cross-grain ("bowl") and spindle turning - Made a beautiful project to proudly display in your home!

  • Carve Something Real; a spoon maybe?

Most group activities are just there to tick a box. Right now, everything is fast, digital, and noisy. People spend their days reacting instead of focusing. At some point, it catches up. Spoon carving does the opposite. You sit down, take a piece of wood, and work it into something useful. It requires attention. You can’t rush it, and you can’t fake it. After a few minutes, the room changes—people slow down, focus, and start talking without forcing it. We don’t overcomplicate it. We show you how to use the tools safely and let you get on with it. No scripts, no gimmicks. It works just as well for teams, friends, families, or anyone who wants to do something real for a few hours. You leave with a spoon. More importantly, you leave feeling like your brain actually switched off for a bit.

  • Bud Vase

Spend an evening or afternoon with your friends and family making a stunning bud vase out of noble wood. In this session you will discover what a wood workshop looks like from the inside, you will get to use some tools and basic machines with the guidance of our experienced intructors. You select an initially uninteresting piece of wood that needs to be processed into a presentable product via using tools and machines, ending with the finishing products to put on for preserving the surface. The result is very satisfying. We recommend this activity for those who'd like to spend some time differently tapping into their creative spirit.
